Hello,
I am using MSN desktop search to create index for files under my specified
folders, which contain thousands of text files. In the Desktop Search panel,
I select Custom folders and e-mail locations, and specify the folders I want.
Problem are:
1. I could not unmack everything in the "Documents and Setting" My USER ID
had administrator authority. I unmark every sub-folders, the parent folder
"Administrator" and "All Users" still remains dark. Do I have to use
administrator to do so?
2. Every time I reboot the Windows XP system, my Windows Desktop Search
always stay as "Indexing is starting. Please wait" until I connect my network
to my INTRANET. It remain the waiting status even though my PC connect to
internet. I suspect these related the 1st probelm above. But, it's not
acceptable Desktop Search request any connection to network. I need the MSN
Desktop search work itself, without any connection to outside.
3. I need a option Custom Folders only in the Desktop Search.
Please advise what I can do. thanks
Jason
