I have setup MSN Desktop Search to index several Mapped network drives. It
starts to index the files, but then it will hit a file and stop on that file
indefinitely. There is no particular pattern, it will hang on different
files of different mapped drives. If I right-click on the icon in the tray
and choose 'exit', then restart MSN dektop search, it will begin indexing the
Mapped drives, but then eventually hang on a different file.
I like MSN search better than Yahoo and Google, but I may have no choice but
to use one of those others if I cannot get network indexing to work.
I really need this to work because I have several terabytes of video
archives that I search on a regular basis (I am a VJ, so I am always
assembling new shows).
