Hi Simon,
If you go to indexing options, hit browse you should see your Outlook
folders there.
make sure your offline folders are selected. They won't be by default, you
have to manually check them.
also when you search try "Folder:<mypublicfolder>" for your search string.
If you put the name of the folder it will help
to narrow the search.
