I recently purchased a Moto Q. One of the features that made this impacted
this decision was the ability to use Pocket Word, Excel, PPT. Yet, I don't
see familiar icons to launch these supposedly included apps. What am I
missing?

pocket word, excel ppt etc do not exist (yet) for smartphone, only for
pocket PC. There are 3rd party readers available, clearview suite is one
perhaps that came with the Q?

Does anyone have an update on this? I could have sworn I just saw a
commercial for the Q and they had Office Mobile in it. Verizon has no idea,
I've called three times.

Jeff... Verizon Wireless.com shows the following for the Motorola Q;
a.. Windows Mobile®5.0 OS for smartphone
a.. View email and attachments (MS Word, Exel, PowerPoint, Acrobat PDF, TXT
and open ZIP only) with Picsel browser
a.. Internet Explorer Mobile
a.. Windows Media® Player Mobile

My Treo 700w has the MS office apps installed on it.
Hope this helps.
