Some questions:

1) Is there some way to retrieve the IMEI from a smartphone device
(2003, 2005)? Or some kind of unique device identifier?

2) Is there some way to check that a contact, task, calendar was
modified? Like a modification date, or a revision number?

on retreiving IMEI, one way is to use lineGetGeneralInfo() from TAPI and you
also need your app to sign with a priveleged certificate to call this
function.
