 Hello,

i'm not quite shure if this is the right NG to post my problem but maybe you
can help me-

I have W2003 SP1 Server, all updates ... with IIS 6.0
Because this is small company the IIS are running on a DC
Every time i reboot the machine i get an error in my application event log
and a few error reports occur. (5 times) - want me to send a error report to
MS

Application error 1000
w3wp.exe... crashes

Another problem, not shure if it has anything to with it:
The Data Execution protection: each time i reboot the machine, the DEP is
activated for all programs.
And each time i set it to the first option in system->prop->advanced->dep

What can i do to stabilize the w3wp IIS worker process and activate the DEP
only for necessary windows services?

Hello,

not really-
It says:
"Application Failure w3wp.exe 6.0.3790.1830 in unknown 0.0.0.0 at offset
01bd5bb0"
It don't know if the IIS worker process has anything to do with a ASP.NET
environment.

Additonal information: the wp also crashes every n minutes- (~ 2h), but then
restarts itself without any further problems.

Why could that be, even though i've decided to make a 'clean' install of
2003 and not to just upgrade an existing 2000 installtion?

Hi,

Try to run your web application on IIS 5 Isolation mode, and if it works
properly then it might be the problem with IIS worker process, or may be
issue with IWAM user account. Also mentioned that what technology your web
application is using either ASP.NET simple ASP or any other???
