Has anyone come up with a work around for border ridge, inset, outset,
groove? They all display as a solid black border. MS says that is the
way they are supposed to display. Inset and outset can be achieved by
defining each side of a solid border but that is a lot of needless work
when all the other browsers display the effect so well and so easily.

Header set X-UA-Compatible "IE=EmulateIE7" in the .htaccess works on my
local machine but gives a 500 server error online. I assume there is
something in the host site that needs to be over ridden. I do not want
to use this solution anyway, there are other things that have been
corrected in IE8. Position relative for one.
