Please log in for more thread options Just for that reason 'absence of an effective tool for limiting the number
of contacts sync'ed and for specifying the amount of contact detail
transferred' I just moved back from WM5 to Windows Mobile 2003 so I can use
old Active Synch 3.8.
Also I found a big flaw in resolving conflicts in Active Synch 4.1. If there
is a conflict (i.e. the same item is modified on handheld and on PC
independently) AS4.1 will either replace an item on PC or on the handheld
(depends on how it is set up in Settings) but there is no option to skip or
create duplicate, so you can end up loosing what you have entered and that
is unacceptable. I wouldn't call it synchronisation but just plain copying.
This was always the most important feature of Palm (to synch and resolve
conflicts so you always have information backed up and up to date
automatically). I think once people find out they are loosing data they will
move away from WM5.
