There are a couple of ways you can do this.
1. There is a plug in available on Microsoft's web site that adds an NPR
stream to the "Online Spotlight" section of MCE. It pulls it off the net, so
you won't have any satellite issues. Depending upon how new your version of
MCE is, you even already have it. Otherwise, look through the MCE download
section on microsoft.com and you'll find it.
2. There is a free third party plug in called "My Web Media" available
through www.mcesoft. nl (note that it's .nl not .com) that allows you to add
any streaming web media to MCE. You can then use the NPR feed from either the
national source or from any of the local NPR stations that make their signal
available in windows media format.
I actually use both of these to listen to NPR feeds depending upon what's
scheduled at what time since the local services do time shifting.
Hope this helps.
