Hello!

I'm using Media Center 2005 and I was wondering if anybody knew how to get
rid of the pesky "Series Limit Has Been Reached" warning message that pops up
every time a scheduled series queue is full?

Here's the pop-up warning message:
"Series Limit Has Been Reached - The maximum number of "Show Title" episodes
has been reached so no additional recordings can be made for this series.
Either delete a recording from this series or change the Record Settings."

Response Buttons = "Recordings," "Cancel" and "Help." I've tried all buttons.

I have plenty of hard drive space available (500GB total). However, because
I like a lot of shows I've limited each series to retain about two episodes
(with series options set to never delete until I manually delete). However,
once the series queue is full, this warning message keeps popping up every
time it tries to record a sequentially new unwatched episode (say when it
gets to the third, fourth and fifth etc. episodes). I am pleased with Media
Center in that it does what I want (it does NOT record more than the
requested two unwatched episodes) but this warning message is quite annoying!
Sometimes, when I sit down to watch TV, I'll have about 10-15 of these
messages to click through just to get back to the helm of Media Center!

I simply want to turn these warning messages OFF!

Thank-you in advance....

:)

I think you have answered your own question. You have "limited your series
recording to about 2 episodes." Yet the series recording is still enabled and
MCE tries to record it but can not and you get the error message. I don't
think there is a way to disable the error messages in MCE, but if you have a
lot of hard drive space, why limit each series recording?
