 I just got a new vista computer with a TV tuner. How can I set up a shortcut
to go directly to the Live TV versus having to launch media center?

 try creating a shortcut along these lines...

%SystemRoot%\EHOME\EHSHELL.EXE /HOMEPAGE:VideoFullscreen.XML
/PUSHSTARTPAGE:TRUE
