hi all
I feel that the "quick search" function in "contacts" is quite annoying.

The quick search functions means that when you pressing the down key long
enough, there is a big letter show up from A B C .... to Z to let you pick
the first letter of your contacts.

Is there any why that I could disable it ?
thanks in advance.

Hi Milo,

I tried to look into your "annoyance" but did not find any fix in the
registry. It surely is built into the OS, but found no way to disable
it.

You didn't state what phone you have.

On the Blackjack, if you do a short press of a character, not a long press,
the screen displays progressive selection.

It's pretty ingenious on someone's part. Keys that have multiple
alphanumeric designations are applied against your contact list
mathematically reducing the displayed hits. It's like the TV series
"Numb3rs" in a handset.

Hi LinLey, Thruman

Thanks for your information.
I think I have to get used to it. :-(

Cheers
