How to change from webmail to Activesync?? Mike M 02-13-2008

Vista x64 ActiveSync 6.1, HP iPaq H4350. Vista sees the device just fine.
However, when I first setup the device on this computer, I set it up using
the web address for utilizing Outlook sync services. Email never sync'd as
this iPaq doesn't support this method (I believe) of sync'ing.

So I'm looking for a way to change it from a web-mail sync to just using
ActiveSync (or as it's called Sync Center now), but I cannot find anyway of
changing this in the Sync Center (nor on the iPaq). I've deleted the
partnership a few times, but no dice.

Any suggestions?
TIA,
Mike

Hi,
Did you install Outlook before ActiveSync? Did you change the settings in
Outlook such as deleting the profile?

I don't recall the order in which I installed the products. Does the order
of installation of these products have bearing on ActiveSync/Sync Center
performance & reliability?

I didn't delete the Outlook profile. I'll do that and see what happens.

Thanks,
Mike

Hi,
Yes the install order is huge. To ensure it is installed correctly,
reinstall ActiveSync again. ActiveSync detects the version of Outlook and
sets up the appropriate settings so you can sync with the version you have
installed.
