Not owning one myself, I have been reconfiguring for a client. I
re-installed his desktop manager software in order resolve some
syncing issues. That seems to work OK. The question revolves around
how long it should take for undelivered emails (mail that has appeared
on his desktop machine) to arrive on Blackberry. Where is a setting
for frequency of email checking? What I saw is that previously
undelivered emails were very slowly beginning to arrive. Some had
attachments, so perhaps that will affect time lag, but in order to
close this trouble ticket with him I need to be sure that all is up to
snuff...

I've been told by our Blackberry Rep that one factor is the signal you're
getting.

We use a BES, and it varies, depending on the network traffic, size of the
message, signal of the BB, RIM network, etc.

I've seen messages hit my Blackberry before they hit my Outlook, and I've
seen them hit hours after - I support clients and for the most part,
messages are within minutes of coming to Outlook.

If the BES or Exchange server get out of sync, and/if the BES server needs
to be restarted, it could a few hours to catch up.

If your client isn't on a BES, then I wouldn't know how long messages take.
