I finally was able to connect to the internet with my new Smartphone.
Now I can't disconnect without turning it off and restarting. Please,
where's the disconnect?

A very embarrassed,

Bill

Have you tried briefly pressing the red call button?
Which Smartphone do you use?

Verizon/Pantech PN-820. Yes, I tried brifly press int the red stop
button. It was the first thing I tried, it just didn't work. Seems
like it should. I also didn't find anything that allowed me to "close"
Internet Explorer.

Thanks for your help.

On my Cingular 8525, to break the Internet connection I can touch the icon
next to the signal strength bars. A 'connectivity' window appears to
disconnect from the Internet, connect to Wi-Fi or change settings.

If you are using a Smartphone without touch screen, can you rotate the
thumbwheel selection window to that icon and select?

It doesn't have a touchscreen, it's a flip phone. I cannot get to the
top bar where the signal strength icon resides. I have noticed however
that after a short time Zs appear with the icon. I assume that means
it is snoozing and not on air time. It seems to disconnect on its own
after that. But I'm not sure if I did something to cause the
disconnect, or if it did it on its own.

I appreciate your help. I would like to find a definite disconnect,
but . . . .
