When I put my MCE 2005 PC into stand by, I get a very high sound just before
it shuts down. Hard to describe but sounds most of all like when you pull a
cat's tale.
My system connects from an onboard chip via the analog cables to a Creative
MegaWorks 5.1 system with a cable remote. The speaker's volume setting is
almost turned to maximum, in order to control the volume from MCE 2005 via
the remote.
Any suggestions on how to get rid of this sound?

Try moving the cat a little further from the power switch. ;-)

(Sorry, couldn't help myself. ;-)

Hi Nikolaj,

Usually, there are not a lot of solutions for this issue. What I do is turn
the speakers down when I put into standby. Thanks!
