Please log in for more thread options You can modify the user's object permissions to include only those groups
that you want to have read permissions to it for AD searches. Note that this
may not stop a user from finding the user name via netbios over tcp/ip
methods such as with NBT enumeration programs such as Dumpsec or Superscan4.
Be very careful with modifying AD object permissions because if you remove
read permissions on the wrong containers or objects the user may not have
Group Policy applied to him or be able to change his password. As always it
is best practice to have a current copy of the System State backup of a
domain controller before doing such modifications. --- Steve
