I have a windows xp rpofessional that was installed to my computer. It was
not complete and valid. I have purchased a new program of Windows xp home and
was wondering how to install it with the other already there.

You can install it from your current version. Just load the installation
DVD, open it and follow the prompts. It will give you an option to upgrade
saving your current data files and setting or install fresh. I recommend a
fresh install but backup all the files you want to save to reload it on your
new version. If this doesn't work set your computer bios settings to boot
from your cd first, save settings, load the DVD and when your computer
reboots, press enter when prompted to boot from cd then just follow the
prompts. Still besure first to backup what files you want to save to reload
them after the new installation
