ever since i got my iPAQ 4150, i have always found that my device is
slow to sync or to be recognized by my desktop. it will take minutes
for the device to complete the "handshake" with the desktop, after
which sync will occur quickly and normally.
i am running activesync 3.8. i have been told that my activesync should
not be further updated as it is not recommended for the windows mobile
2003 OS on my iPAQ
today i found a post seemingly related to this problem on

unlike the original poster, i am running norton personal firewall 2005.
i then followed the advice from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/help/activesync/default.mspx and
add the appropriate firewall rules to the program, but this does not
seem to help.
can someone please give me some advice? thank you so much.
