I recently purchased a HP nc6000 laptop off ebay and it was described as =
a 1.7 Mhz Intel Centrino 512 RAM but when I ran some software from =
Belarc it indicated the processor was a 600Mhz Pentium M. Not knowing =
anything about this laptop or processor could anyone let me know if this =
is correct as I would have expected to see a speed of 1.7Mhz.

I tried the HP website and it has the correct board ie PD468ET#ABU but =
I'm just not sure if its genuine.

If someone out there has a nc6000 laptop from HP perhaps they could =
check theirs and see if what I have bought is right or have I been done =
??

Regards

Open the calculator, compute something like 6353434! and look again.

Power management will step down the processor speed to run cooler and
conserve battery life.

Look at the options in HP's extensions to the Windows Power Management for
all the options you can select.

I believe you can download a CPU ID utility from Intel that will tell =
you which processor you have installed. Go to www.intel.com and search =
for CPU ID.
