I had the same issue (I may have read the solution on this board or
somewhere else). If you installed ActiveSync, and THEN upgraded WM from 9
to version 10, you will have this issue of WM10 not seeing the
device/storage card. All you need to do is to re-install (or repair/fix)
ActiveSynch. This should take care of your problem as it did for me.
btw, the phone does not appear as a storage device either, rather it shows
up under My Computer as a mobile device.
