I'm using 2003 Server, with AD domain.
On my xp pro machine I'm seeing Error event 15
"Automatic certificate enrollment for local system failed to contact the
active directory (0x8007054b). The specified domain either does not exist or
could not be contacted.
Enrollment will not be performed."
I'm logged into the domain, and can browse, ping, view event logs on domain
controller etc.
As per
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/maintain/certenrl.mspx
Section Manually Pulsing AutoEnrollment, I can cause the event error by
running All Tasks/Automatically Enroll Certificates.
However I haven't a clue as to how to find the reason for the problem ?
Can anyone give me any pointers to a cause for this problem ?
