UGH! I have been trying to get Bluetooth Activesync working for days now.

I found a guide that gives you step by step instructions...but on one of the
steps it asks you to turn on OUTOING COM PORT on the cell...but that option
is grayed out.

has anyone this figured out?

Thanks!

the underlying problem is that i still need to activate OUTGOING PORT on my
phone (from what I understand)...and as I said this option is grayed out
(not select-able).

if there's anyone out there who can give me directions I'd greatly
appreciate it as i'm losing my hair trying to get this to work!

i am running WinXP Pro SP2 + Audiovox SMT-5600

THANKS!!

got it to work!

the grayed OUTGOING COM PORT problem is a phone-2-pc issue (not a phone
problem)

in other words if you pair up your pc with your phone correctly (still not
sure why it didnt work before) your phone will present you with option of
adding OUTGOING as well as INCOMING ports - seems that its related to how
your pc pairs up with your phone.

JFYI - i am using WinXP Pro SP2 with Activesync 4 (required i think).
