Hello,

I am in desperate need for someone to upgrade a site to make it more
accessible, I have a site that is hand coded in HTML which I have
donated to a charity at no cost. I was about to attempt to update it
myself in March of 2007 but I suffered a brain stem stroke in February
2007, this has left me with sever double vision and colour blindness.

I am looking for someone who would be willing to upgrade the site for
the charity as a donation to them, all I can offer is that you can add
'Site built by 'Your Name' on each page. There are about 600 pages but
some of them can be got rid of. I did receive an offer of help late on
last year but so far I have not seen any result.

I hope someone out there is willing and able to give some spare time to
this deserving charity.

I will give further details to anyone who can help.

Gerald

I'm sorry to hear that.

Can you post the URL of the site? This will help to give people an idea of
the amount of work required (well, one of many factors involved).

http://www.animals-in-distress.net it is a bit untidy as it was
started some time ago and health problems meant I couldn't always spend
the time I needed on it.

I don't see any content, all I see are the ads. Wait, I found it
under the ads.

You'll probably greatly benefit by having some kind of CMS so that
you won't have to be the only one to maintain this.

I think this group could cobble together a good template for you. I'm
not inclined to donate time to a site that is ad driven though.

I would do this in 3 columns.

Left column: navigation
Center column: content
right column: ads

Ring links in the footer

Add a nice header and a stylesheet and you would be done.
Of course, that is a pretty standard layout.

Hi Jeff.
Gerald is one of my client's, he has hardly communicated with me what
so ever. He is also the only clien't that is not paying for website
hosting or the domain name.
All of my other client's are ex-army, (a part from one, but they are
all paying clien'ts, so I am sure you can understand where I am
comeing from regarding this matter.
I trust that this helps to give everyone more of an understanding on
where I stand with this issue.
