 Hi Everyone-
I just bought a laptop off ebay it has been wiped completely clean no
drivers or OS . I downloaded a dos bootdisk but when i power up the
laptop all i get is a black screen i don't know what to do to fix
this so i can get dos on and begin reinstalling all the drivers and
the OS. its a compaq armada 1592dmt not the best but is ok for what i
need it for.
any help is so appreciated.

 You should be able to stick the OS disk in and just install it. You will
have to boot from the CD drive.

Is the floppy set as the first boot device?

What OS do you plan on installing?

Answers to these questions would be helpful in getting you the answer to
your problem.

If he gets a blank black screen, how would he know that?
