Help Please - I've lost Tom Tom on e200! Paul Sinnott 10-03-2005

Can anyone give me a bit of advice please? I recently took the SD card out
of my SPV E200 and naturally enough, next time I turned the phone on it
didn't show the existence of TT Mobile (v5) which I had on the card.
However, when I put the card back in, it still doesn't recognise it. I've
tried deleting all the file directories, recopying them back onto the SD
card but all to no avail. I've tried copying the files from the CD onto
another SD card and installing that, but still no success! The phone just
doesn't seem to recognise the reinstallation of the program onto the card.
Am I doing something wrong? Anyone got any ideas how I get around the
problem? Tks

I'm a bit suprised. I'd have thought that taking the card out would just mean
the shortcut on the start menu would either not run or disappear.

Have you tried just using a file manager on the phone to browse the card and
run the TomTom exectutable?

You just need to create yourself a new shortcut on the phone:-

Connect your Phone to a PC with Active Sync.
Browse to the TomTom directory on the Storage Card.
Right click on the tomtom EXE and select 'create shortcut'
Cut the shortcut and place it in:-

Storage/Windows/Start Menu

restart the phone.

PS. I though TomTom came on a card not on a cd?

Brilliant! Tks so much for the advice! I'm up and running again.

It did come on the card. I'd created a CD of the files for such an
eventuality. Just as well. Tks again
