Hello. For the past few weeks I've been unable to sync notes. I just
get the message ...

'Synchronization cannot be started because you are not able to log on
to the network and access information. Restart your desktop computer
and synchronize again. If the problem persists, contact your network
administrator.'

and

'ActiveSync encountered a problem on the desktop.
Support Code:85010014'

I've read many messages discussing this problem, but none of the
possible solutions work.

I've tried deleting all the notes from outlook & pocket PC,
recreating .pst file, creating a new partnership, upgrading Active
Sync, and other things which I can't remember.

I use AS 4.5.0 (Build 5096), Pocket Loox WM5 and Outlook XP.
Everything else syncs okay.

Can anybody help or should I just give up?

Thanks.

David

Hi Dave,

The 85010014 error is a generic error. So its difficult to pinpoint what's
causing it. Would suggest you try running scanpst to see if it helps fix
the issue. Refer -
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA100758311033.aspx

Additionally, disconnect your device and then run the Detect & Repair option
under the Help menu of Microsoft Outlook. Once done, attempt a sync and
check.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, scanpst was one of the things I first
tried, but didn't help. I've just done the Detect & Repair thing but
again it hasn't worked. After running, it says completed successfully.
But I still can't sync notes. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Thanks. Been to that page already - didn't help. I think I'll just
have to live with not syncing notes. I've already wasted so many
hours trying to get this to work. But thanks for all your help anyway.
