I'm not sure if Media Center is in the beta copy of Vista, if so, has
anyone tried it? My biggest concern is Microsoft screwed up Media
Center for Vista. Would welcome any reports on it. Thanks.

Yes, there are a large number of people running it. It has bugs, as =
will any beta software. I'm running it on 2 machines at this point, and =
will be upgrading/switching two more in the near future. It works =
pretty wel, but as I said, there are problems.

With that said, it is beta software. Backup anything you cannot afford =
to lose, and be prepared to re-format your system at any time. "Beta" =
is not Bostonian for "Better". Beta means: Work in Progress, use at =
your own risk. Some TV Tuners that work in MCE 2005 will not work in =
Vista's version of Media Center.

Media Center is part of Vista Beta2, I've tried it and it has a ways to go.
It works well with the signal from cable using a Hauppauge 250, but has
problems with the HD signal from a Dvico tuner. Installing Nvidia's decoder
helped quite a bit but still don't have smooth live video all the time.
