Has anyone figured out how to back-out mobile 5.0 on an ipaq? DOB 11-10-2005

 I loaded windows mobile 5.0 and activesync 4.0 on my new ipaq hx2110
before i found out that our corparate laptop image with sysgate
firewall was going to be an issue. it will take months for them to
figure out the new rule sets so i decided to backout the rom image to
run windows mobile 2003 SE.

I'm stuck in a catch-22. i cant download the old rom with AS 4.0 and
AS 3.8 won't recognize mobile 5.0

Any ideas?
