When watching LiveTV a time shift buffer is maintained on the HDD. This
does not stop when you stop watching Live TV in MCE 2005. The only way to
stop it is to start watching a recorded program and then to stop that.
When you get stuttering does the sound also stutter?
If not then the problem is that your graphics card cannot keep with the
audio and I suggest that you get the latest driver from the card
manufacturers Website and see if that corrects the problem. The latest
NVIDIA driver is 71.89 and the latest ATI driver is Catalyst 5.5.
If that does not help let us know what Graphics card you have, and what DVD
Decoder product and release level you are using.
