HP200LX - switch off problem DS 11-21-2006

Hi,
I used recently two palmtops HP200LX in the field in rainy/foggy
weather. The devices worked pretty well in such conditions, until last
time when they shut down for some time (this was not due to low battery
power). After they went dry again, I could start devices, but some of
the keys (among which ON/OFF) did not work anymore. It is still the
case by now, which impedes me to work with it.
I removed the keyboard protection to check for bad connections, but
this rapidly messed up due to intricate interior design.
Anyone did encounter such key connection problem and could fix it? This
is kind of emergency.
Thanx - DS
