The HPLX list is not dead, but I believe only new members
need to have their messages approved. This is done to
reduce spam. Once you are a regular messages will appear
immediately.
As for Transfile - there have been discussions about using
it on Win 2000. I don't use it so I don't remember those
discussions. I keep all my data on a CF card in a PCMCIA
adapter and just put that CF card in my notebook when I want
to transfer data. I have also used a program called ZIP,
not the file compression program by a LX-specific file
transfer program.
