Please log in for more thread options According to specs it's a similar model to mine. Having XP Home on the pc
when you try to do a recovery can prevent it. Best case circumstance if the
HP OS has been removed from the harddrive is that the drive is empty,
unformatted and unpartitioned before trying the recovery. IIRC there was a
similar problem posted in the HP forums, but I don't remember the outcome.
