Usually one asks someone that can give it to you.
The password is not stored on the system, so the system
cannot be made to give it to you. The best you might be
able to do is to set the password to a known value, but
even that depends on what the system is.

Please, in the future, do not multipost (sending the same
message separately to many newgroups, each with separate
post). Instead, please cross-post, when having a message
in many newsgroups is appropriate (send once, one message,
to a list of the newsgroups). This keeps all responses together
in one thread, helping everyone.

Which administrator? Local administrator on your workstation? On a remote
system? Domain Administrator?

The typical way of learning what the admin password is requires you to first
hack either admin or system-equivalent privileges on the target machine (or
have physical access to be able to reboot the system with a special boot
disk), then use a tool to extract and brute force crack the SAM.

It is also possible to use a password cracking tool that allows you to sniff
network traffic and hope that you can observe the process of the
administrator logging in across the network, then brute force guess the
hashed password. But being able to install a sniffer again usually involves
having the ability to log in as administrator, or boot with a special boot
disk, or plug in a new system under your control onto the network.

It is easier to reset the admin password, than to learn what the current
password is.

Where and why exactly are you looking to get the admin password? I assume
you have a legitimate reason for doing so?
