HELP for Vista on Server 2003 Enterprise ChuckN 03-03-2008

We just added some Vista workstations on our W2K3 Srvr Enterprise network.
The security settings on the network drive allow everything except "Full
Control".

The Users can create a new folder on the network drive, but once it is
created, they cannot rename it. It remains "New Folder".

They can then delete the new directory.

Also, they cannot rename files. They can copy the file to their desktop,
rename it, and then copy it to an existing directory on the network drive.

What is happening and how do I correct it?

Hello ChuckN,

Check the advanced configuration on the security tab. Which of the boxes
are not checked for the users groups?

Best regards

Apparently this is a known installation problem. These computers were
purchased from Gateway/MPC. The solution is noted in Knowledge Base Article
934160 and requires resetting the client side cache database that was
corrupted during installation. The condition existed on all computers that
Vista was installed on.
