Hi,

I have vista ultimate running hauppauge 350 card. It worked flowless for
months till my hard drive fried last week and I had to rebuild. After the
rebuild, I am unable to get the guide. When I click on guide, it shows "no
information available" on all channels. I even manually downloaded the guide
by going to settings menu and I tried many times but no luck.

Am I missing something here? It sees all channels fine, it records fine.
Everything is working except for the guide and movie guide.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Sam

Out of frustration I decided to rebuild the box and do latest update before
trying again. This sime it can't download the guide at all. The box has
internet access, I can do windows update fine. Firewall, windows defender
etc have been disabled. Its really frustrating issue.

Any suggestions,
Sam

Have you tried using a neiborhing Postal code instead of your own?
Have you tried tell MC that you are using an antenna instead of cable or
vice versa?
Have you tried a different region then your own and received an error from
your postal code?

Yes. I just tried 60540 which is another postal code of my town. No
difference.

I tried that and that didn't make any difference either.

I selected "Comcast - Naperville, Digital cable" and it went through
downloading the EPG. However it still shows "no information available" when
I press the guide button.

Its really odd. This box worked flowlessly for months. After the rebuild all
these problems started happening. Did MS change something on any of its
updates?

Thanks,
Sam

Try analog cable since digital cable may only be useful if you are using a
digital STB which apparently you are not since you have an analog tuner card
directly connected to your cable outlet.
