I have a website in 2 languages: English and Dutch. The English
version ranks high in google.com for certain English search terms. The
Dutch version ranks high in google.com for certain Dutch keywords. And
now it comes: the Dutch website ranks extremely LOW for the SAME Dutch
keywords in google.nl, the Dutch version of the Google Search Engine.
Very weird, because one would expect things to be the other way
around, since the competition in a little country like the Netherlands
is of course less big than for example in the USA. So what is that BUG
in the Google Bot ? Very simple: Google Bot looks at the IP address of
YOUR HOST ! You can rank high in the country of the IP address of your
host. You will never be able to rank high in another country for the
same keywords ! VERY DISHONEST WHAT GOOGLE IS DOING HERE ! Wrong for
webmasters who are confronted with very LOW rankings in the country a
website is meant for, while their hosts IP is in another country. But
also Wrong for surfers, because this leads to many LESS relevant
search results. Solution for Google: make it simple and look at the
language only. It's complete NONSENSE to let the Bot look at the IP
address of the host ! This BUG should be repaired IMMEDIATELY !

It would be a lot better if you were to explain why you disagree.
To the reader, a one-word reply (having a spelling error, being
in all caps and having three exclamation points doesn't help)
from someone you don't know isn't very persuasive.

Aiming for ones spelling errors is nice... Pot Kettel black mean
anything to you.

Further more the OP was ranting so i told him loud and clear that what
he was blabbering about was nonsense.

What was your contrubition again? None! So please go away and stop
bothering people.

Where, Dk? I just had a look and couldn't find anything. The reason I
ask is:

I've been working on the geotargeting factor for the past week. The
primary keywords I track rate at around 30 on Google US but are at 130
on Google UK. I've registered a co.uk TLD and started a new website
with lots of links to UK sites which I will redirect to a related page
on my main website after the new TLD gets included in Google. It will
be a while before I know if this has any effect, but it's the only
thing I could think of.
