Does anyone have a default set of W2K3-R2 GPOs to make WinXP clients behave
with the same limited functionality of a thin-client?

I could go through all the GPOs one-by-one, but I am certain someone has
crossed this bridge before.

Best to You,
Rob B.

Rob,
refer to Implementing Common Desktop Management Scenarios with the Group
Policy Management Console Technet article
(http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/9a758138-d9c0-49bd-ae57-14fb9b6decbe1033.mspx?mfr=true).
This provides the functionality you need via GPMC (you can choose among
several different scenarios, depending on which one meets your requirements)

Hi Rob,

There are a number of pre-made security policies that you can apply to
workstations to provide different levels of lockdown. There is a Kiosk
policy that is made for really locking things completely. From there, you
can use mandatory policies, folder redirection, and GPOs to lock them to
really whatever level you are shooting for.

Hope this helps.

Hi
Adding to others response, test those policies before implementing it, to
avoid suprises.
