Hello,
I'm working on a project where I will be getting the name of a
locality (say Sunnyvale) and need to figure out somehow that Sunnyvale
is in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. I'm pretty sure there is a
brute force way of creating this myself.

But I was wondering if anyone had a similar service available over
the Internet?

Thanks,
S
