Anyone know where I can find GIS data for the Carribean?
Looking specifically for Barbados area, but more needed later.
Free is preferable, but we have a small budget for quality data.
thanks for your help,
z

What sort of data? I found a whole load of maps at:

www.cpacc.org

I created MapInfo tables from the maps in order to check some city locations.

I'm also interested in the area, so please let me know if you find anything
better.

Dave

Thanks for the link Dave. Once I've had a look and compiled my data, I will
let you know if I come up with better data.
I am interested in anything and everything I can get my hands on as I am
just starting a project in the area right now. Themes of particular
interest are...
-soils
-geology
-DEM (with surrounding bathymetry)
-roads
-streams
-coastline
-parcels
-hydrolines
-landuse
-meteorology layers
-etc...

Hello again Dave,
I have been trying to access the 'data link' on the site you recommended for
days now...
Seems to be a network issue. Can you please describe the data you got
there?
You can send me a direct message if you remove the obvious from my address.
thanks,
hj
