Free DNS and Free Webhosting/webspace

I recently have been using Portland Communications to host my website.
They provided a free service including webspace, No Ads, and FTP
capability. They also provided me with free DNS service. All I had to
do was register my domain and give my registrar Portlands name server
names. I FTP my files to Portland and all is working smoothly. I
absolutley loved it. I have reason to believe that Portland no longer
provides these services for free since my domain no longer works.

Does anyone know where I can get similar services for free?
Does anyone know some good websites that will provide me with good
comparisons of companies offering some of these services?

I would really like to have all this stuff done in one place.

I use mydomain.com, they are great and never had a problem with them in
over 5 years. You can also try afraid.org (tonnes of free sub domains)
for DNS hosting.
