So below is a segment of code produced by my script.

I totally removed the CSS link, etc, so it would JUST be what's here. The
edit field seems to come with some extra padding, so I would have to make it
size 10 to get it to not push the second column too much, but even then I
can see it does affect it.

If I remove the text input fields and replace it with just garbage text, the
table comes out all nice and even.

Am guessing there some attribute about TEXT INPUT fields I don't know about?

"So"? It suggests that you are continuing some discussion. And where is the

What are you talking about? Referring to some undisclosed course of events?

What extra padding? Extra as in addition to what?

And I don't think it's padding in the edit field. It's just the padding in
the _cell_, simply because the field happens to be narrower than the cell.
Try setting font size to 64pt and you'll see something quite different.

Sounds like you have encountered yet another oddity in some unnamed
browser's rendering algorithm. Why don't you just avoid the mess=

Why do you set width in pixels? What happens when the user sets font size
to, say, 64 points?

Why don't you simply use a table without any width settings?

Or just a <fieldset>, instead of a <table>?

I'll tell you what Jukka...cause I've seen your posts before: I would
rather not solve this problem than have to read your posts. I mean that
seriously. You don't like that I don't post my email, maybe other people
don't either. You don't like that I don't put up links, again am sure
others don't either.

Yet the others aren't giving me grief. Maybe they're the ones answering my
posts, just without the attitude. Or they jsut ignore me. But someone
always suggests something...without me having to read the snappy comebacks
or the likes.

So please...when you see my name, just don't read the post. Assume I've put
in there everything you dislike (or omited all you want).

Or just put me on your "drop" list...seriously.

So far, after more than 12 hours, they haven't given you anything.

While not here, you can look for my other posts....and serioiusly, you must
have something else to do other than to waste your time writing a post that
serves no purpose. And everyone else's time having to read it when it
contained nothing.

Isn't that what the newsgroups are for? For "everyone" who needs a little
hand to find it? Not to go back and forth for nothing?

Those that make the really bad posts, or just post "do my hoework for me
please" posts, eventually go away.

Thiss is a waste, now someone else I have to ignore.

I wonder if this is why "forums" are becoming a better place for questions.
