File Sync can't be resolved - What file? BlackFireNova 01-01-2006

When I sync my I-Mate PDA2K, using ActiveSync 3.7.1, I get one file, in the
Files section of the ActiveSync window showing "Unresolved". When I click
"Resolve items.... in the window, it gives an error message:

"Synchronization cannot be completed because a file cannot be shnchronized
with your mobile device. Close all programs on your mobile device and this
computer, and synchronize again".

I have checked and rechecked. Closed all open programs on both computer and
PDA2K, and rebooted computer, as well as resetting the PDA2K, but still the
same thing.

The question is, how can I tell WHAT FILE is causing the problem? I would
think it would be easier to attack the issue by fixing or removing the
particular file, instead of endlessly rebooting the computer, and resetting
the PDA2K.

Any suggestions on how to find that our / how to fix the issue?

Hi,
Try looking in your Pocket_PC My Documents folder on your desktop. This is
the default location for files that are synchronized to and from your Pocket
PC. A way to find the file is to create another folder on your desktop,
select all files in the original folder, cut them and then paste them in the
new folder. Sync, then put them back and let them sync until you find the
file that cannot be synchronized.
