Hi,

I am using windows server 2003, the hard disk format is NTFS, when I try to
give file permission it asked to change the format to NTFS in order to use
this feature, I can't understand that, its NTFS..

Appreciate your help.

Hello SAB,

If you type compmgmt.msc in the run line and go to Diskmanagement, what is
displayed there?

I think that's the warning to show you that the permissions are being
changed. This is usually done if you try to change the permission of a
sub-folder other than the main folder itself. You can verify and
calculate the final permission by verifying Effective Permission
option. If it's not the problem, then just give us more details.
