I have vista 64 bit. I have downloaded the Mobil Device Center 6.
Multiple times I have attempted to install the OS so I could sync with
my IPAQ hw6945. The result has been where is starts the install, gets
part way through and then uninstalls.

The error banner says to run setup.exe manually. This I have done;
the results were the same.

What am I missing? What can I do so I can get the IPAQ and MS Vista
to communicate via the sync.

Hi,
Did you install the WMDC 64 bit device driver? See

I have attempted to install countless times, and yes with the english
64bit. The odd thing is that it installs and then un-installs, that
is the activity bar goes backwards. I have an IPAQ, and unless the
sync works it is just a very large phone and nothing more.

Did you insert the iPAQ prior to installing the 64 bit driver? Maybe you
have to have the iPAQ plugged in and delete the driver for it, unplug it,
install the 64 bit driver and then plug it in.

Other than that, I suggest you call HP for assistance.
