 The input of text (e-mail) on the smartphone Imate SP5 is rather slow and
time consuming.
What type of external keyboard are you recommanding?

 Hi Ton,

I don't have an SP5, but do use a Motorola MPx220 smartphone. I've used the
Stowaway Bluetooth Keyboard from ThinkOutside, and I'm very happy with it.

I've also played around a bit with the laser virtual keyboard; it works and
is pretty neat. However, it does not have a built in stand for holding the
phone upright while you type and needs a pretty good sized flat surface on
which to project the keyboard, etc.

I'd confirm the recommendation for a BT keyboard ...over any other
method of connection.

However, there are a huge number of input options starting with the five
that are on all ppc's plus snapons, full screen keypads, fitaly and
more... google time.

Bottom line, a major part of the decision relates to needing it while
standing or sitting.
