Hi,

WMC on Vista HomePrem.

I know that it's possible to extend the scheduled recording length of a
program which hasn't yet started, but is it possible to extend the
recording length of a program which has already started to record? Just
to add on another 5 or 10 minutes, say.

The reason I'm asking is that sometimes TV programs are late in starting
and WMC simply records the length of time that was originally shown by the
guide. That means that I lose the end of the recording.

TIA

No... you are stuck with the times in the guide, the best you can do is
record
the programme that follows.

Sometimes with sporting events which schedule to record i will also schedule
the following
programme just incase ther is an overrun.

Oh, for the flexibility of ShowShifter!

Cheers anyway. <sigh>

You've no need to do that. As long as the program that you've scheduled
hasn't started recording, you can:

1. go into RecordedPrograms
2. choose ViewScheduled,
3. choose the scheduled recording and
4. then choose RecordSettings.
5. There you can add up to 3 hours to the StopTime.

It looks like I'm going to have to do that with each program where there's
a chance it will overrun.

Meanwhile, I've lost the final 2 minutes of Darcey Bussell's farewell
performance. <sigh>

Maybe it will be repeated on BBC Four? In the meantime don't miss Darcey's
Swansong part of the Our
World documentary series & shown on BBC News 24 about five times over the next
week.

The very same. :(

A good thought! Although it doesn't look as though it's going to be on any
time soon (at least, not until 30 Jun) but I've set a marker for it so
that I can catch it if it does turn up. :)
