Is there a way to export User Accounts/Passwords from a Stand-alone Win2003
Server into a Win2003 Domain? I have about 60 user accounts that I would
like to import into a new Win2003 Domain without having to redo all the
accounts/passwords.

Not that is supplied by Microsoft.
You cannot use the migration tool as it is from stand-alone.
You could look at cracking the existing and then using that to set the
passwords of the new accounts.

run DCPROMO and create a new domain.
This will migrate local accounts into Domain accounts.
If you need to move these users to your main domain, make a trust and then run
ADMT to move the users.

It is even harder when your standalone box is a workstation, not a server.
It was quite an Endeavour to migrate a failing Windows 2000 Workstation FTP
server's local accounts into a 2003 Server's Domain.

You might be able to use the RK tool called addusers to export the users to
a file and then create the users on a domain controller but it will not
export passwords. I remeber trying it in a test domain for Windows 2000 and
it worked. You could create/reset a password for each user and then
configure their account so that a password change is required at next logon.
Take a look at the link below and be sure you backup the System State on
your domain controller before you try to import users and groups so that you
can always go back to where you were before you tried to do any
anges. --- Steve

Thanks for all the info..........Based on the replies I received, I think
I'll go the route of using the "addusers" utility from the Resource Kit.
It's too bad there's nothing out there that will allow me to take all the
existing passwords with me along with the user names. Oh well.......I guess
the users will just have to deal with the fact that they'll have to change
their passwords again!!

Thanks
