Exchange synch via wireless LAN Eric Baines 02-03-2006

I have an SP5, and have been able to synch over GPRS to our Exchange front
end server, via an ISA firewall for a long time. I can also connect to the
front end server for OMA, and the certifcate authenticates fine.

I keep trying to set it up so that if I have wireless lan up, synch will
still work. I can disconnect GPRS and connect with wireless lan to our
corporate network. I have a proxy connection on the phone, through an ISA
server to the internet. I can browse the internet fine. I can type in our OMA
address (https://mobile.our.domain.name/oma), and I can connect fine, by
going out to the internet and back again - the certifcate authenticates fine.

But if I try to synch by this route, to the same server,
mobile.our.domain.name, it fails, saying
Exchange Server
Result:
Synchronization coulf not be
completed. Try again later

Support code: 0x80072F17

Any idea why this bit fails, when eveything else seems to succeed?

Cheers

Eric

Mmmm - If I turn off wireless LAN, and connect to a PC using passthrough, I
get the same effect. I can access web sites etc, but synch fails with the
same error message.

I guess I have something wrong with the ISA server - but can't figure out
what.
