For those trying to sync WM5 with Exchange 2003, I solved the 85010014 by
enabling Integrated Windows Authentication under the virtual folder called
"Exchange" in IIS...

1) Log onto the Exchange server
2) Open IIS
3) Goto the "Exchange" virtual folder -> right-click -> click on "Properties"
4) Click on "Directory Security" tab
5) Click "Edit" (under Authentication and access control)
6) Enable "Integrated Windows Authentication"

Hope this helps.

Hi

Thanx for the reply, I`ll will try this out as am writing.

But I have a question regarding MS Certification Service.

When I make a certificate. can I name it what I wont? Example: if my server
and domain is - mailserver.fakedomain.com, and my MX record at my ISP is
mail.fakedomain.com should my CA be called mailserver.fakedomain.com or
mail.fakedomain.com?

Well, am not getting wiser with Windows Mobile 2005 and Active Sync 4.1.

Now I have tried everything and nothing helps. I think and hopes that MS
haft too do something about this problem (Own produced Certificates and
syncing with Exchange etc)

I have done everything what has been posted on this tread. Running Outlook
in “plain mode” (no Cach modus etc) I have uninstalled Outlook, and
reinstalled it. Reinstalled Active Sync, Deleted all partnerships several
times.

I have also a test domain where I run exchange 2003 and I have the result
there.

There must come a upgrade too Active Sync where company that use there own
certificates can easy sync with the exchange without having too by a
certificate from example VERITAS. I would guess that is many companies out
there that are experience the same problem.

So if there is any MS Windows Mobile 2005/ Active Sync 4.1 gurus out there…
please give us a White Paper too setup ActiveSync/Exchange 2003 with our own
produced certificates.

This Su**s

Regards

To fix error 85010014 on a front end/backend Exchange configuration,
don't enable Integrated Windows Authentication on the Exchange Virtual
Directory on the front end server especially if you are using SSL, this
will break OWA. On the front end only have basic authentication check
and then have SSL required at 128-bit. On the backend exchange server
(this is where OMA actually gets your mail), Enable Integrated Windows
Authentication & basic authentication, but don't have SSL required
(that will break the connection between the front and back end
servers).

On Back End Server:
1) Log onto the Exchange server
2) Open IIS
3) Goto the "Exchange" virtual folder -> right-click -> click on
"Properties"
4) Click on "Directory Security" tab
5) Click "Edit" (under Authentication and access control)
6) Enable "Integrated Windows Authentication"

That's it. If you have any questions, please let me know.
